These instructions are based on a task we've worked on previously. If you're looking for an answer to the same assignment, you'll need to submit an order on our writers' platform to receive a unique paper that you can confidently present as your own work. Read our "How It Works" page for more information.

To be a successful social worker, you must be able to engage in critical and self-reflective thought about the nature of the change process with your clients. For example, are you asking appropriate questions? Are the skills and techniques you are using for intervention aligning with the client concern? What thoughts and feelings arise in you as you work with the client? Process recording allows you to “connect the dots” between the actions you are taking, the theories you are using, and the client’s response. In this way, you can both record and reflect on the change process.
Now that you have practiced process recording using a simulated scenario, you are ready to apply your learning to a real situation. In this Assignment, you complete a process recording using a client interaction from your agency.
The client K.W. is a 51 years old African American female who is a client at a homeless shelter she was referred to the shelter by the homeless Authority on 6/28/2024. The client suffers from bipolar and tested positive for cocaine when she came in. The client does not work at the present time and does not have any income. The client receives $150 in foodstamps and have Medicaid as insurance. The client had a physical exam last year. The client has 2 kids that are grown and is very close with her mother and sister.
To prepare:
Reflect on your experience completing the practice process recording, as well as prior discussion and feedback surrounding process recordings.
If needed, revisit the Learning Resources on process recordings. Access the Process Recording Template for Concentration Year.
Select an interaction you have had with a client at your agency that would be helpful for you to analyze via process recording.
Using the template:
Complete the agency and client information section.
Provide a transcript of what happened during your field education experience, including a dialogue of interaction with a client.
Identify your application of specific theories, practice models, techniques, and skills within the interaction.
Analyze the interaction by interpreting the client’s verbal and nonverbal responses.
Describe your reactions, including what you were thinking and feeling, and/or any issues related to the client interaction.
In our last meeting, I mentioned that you have another process recording where you use one of your clients and only 15 minutes of the session. You use the same template as before and provide three sections of theories, assessment, and self-reflections for three conversations.
Note that no title page is needed or reference page use template provided.
The client you will be working on in the provided template I provided above. You will build this process recording as needed in the template .
