Part 1: Develop SMART Personal and Business Goals
Establishing clear goals can help uncover potential conflicts between your business and personal plans, and they can help you choose the best path forward. In Part 1 of the course project, you will develop specific, measurable, attainable, relevant, and time-bound (SMART) personal and business goals. Then you will consider whether the business you plan to start (or have already started) aligns with your goals.
Part 2: Assess Your Personal Readiness
In Part 2 of your course project, you will formally assess your psychological, sociological, and economic readiness for entrepreneurship along with the challenges inherent in starting and growing a business. Understanding your strengths will help you leverage them to your advantage, and recognizing gaps in readiness will enable you to improve your position before you take your next steps.
Part 3: Practice Your Customer Discovery Conversations
Deep customer discovery is required to make sure you have the market you think you have for your product or service before you launch. In Part 3 of the course project, you will try out your customer discovery scripts on two or three customers and reflect on your results.
