The area of criminal justice is New Jersey State Police
Report #3 will be about ethics.  See below (ALL CAPS/BOLD) about the expectation for peer-reviewed sources for this report. Note: This paper will be used to assess your ability to use information literacy and written communication skills to write a college-level research report. As such, your effort should reflect that you are a graduating senior, about to enter the criminal justice field. Follow the structure below:
Introduction
Write a brief introduction (perhaps two or three paragraphs) about the importance of ethics and ethical decision-making in the criminal justice system. There should be at least one transition sentence to identify what ethical issue you will be writing about in this paper.
Ethical Issue (write the name of your issue as the heading)
Identify, define, and describe the ONE ethical issue that is relevant to the area of criminal justice in which you are working. This ethical issue may be something you read about, heard about in your practicum position, or learned during your courses at West Chester University. Please do not report that you cannot find one, there are ethical issues in every part of the criminal justice system and related fields. Examples may include: excessive use of force in policing; sexual relations with inmates in corrections; or failing to reveal exculpatory information as a prosecutor. You may refer to current events (properly cited, of course) to demonstrate the contemporary nature of the ethical issue. The report is to be based on ONE (and only one) ethical issue; this report is too short to discuss more than one ethical issue. In this section, you may want to cite empirical sources that indicate the extent of this problem.
The Problem with (write the name of your specific issue here)
Why is the issue you have identified a problem?  This is where you want to reference scholarly peer-reviewed journal articles as sources to document the problem and to obtain important information on any studies on the ethical problem.  This is where I would expect to see the bulk of any in-text citations to studies you have read about the ethical issue you have identified. You must have at least 5 peer-reviewed journal articles as sources. You may use other sources (i.e., newspaper articles, books, etc.) as supplementary sources (meaning above and beyond the five required peer-reviewed journal article sources.
Organizational Response to (your specific issue)
What does this agency do (if anything) to prevent or address this problem?  Do they have a policy or procedure?  Does the policy or procedure call for disciplinary action, if so, what actions will be taken against employees who violate the policy?  Again, you may need to interview someone in charge or discuss this with individuals at your practicum to find out this information. Additionally, you may find information from scholarly peer-reviewed journal articles about what is being done to prevent or address this ethical issue.
